About the long test...

Shocks...,I don't want to fail again in our long test for the 2nd grading ,but it looks like i'm failing again...huhuhu.. Well,I really have to listen carefully to Mr. Mome cause it's only my chance....wah!!!

Einstein's Mass Energy Equation

E=mc²

E= stands for units of energy(work unit)
M= stands for mass
C=stands for the speed of light

Einstein's equation states that mass and energy are directly proportional to each other. It means that a given amount of mass is equal to a specific amount of energy.

Nuclear fusion> A lighter nucleus combined with another to form a heavier nucleus.
Nuclear fission> Heavy nuclei splits to form another nuclei.
Binding Energy> Is the energy that holds the nucleus together.

Fundamental Force

G-gravitational=mass(m)
E-Electric=charge of particles(q)
++,--repel while +-attract
W-weak
S-strong
*The weak and strong force are also the Nuclear Forces

Z=No. of protons Alpha= helium ions
X=element Beta=Electrons

Types of Ionizing Radiation

X-rays and Gamma rays> They have great penetrating power thats why they can pass the human body. For us humans, thick barriers of concrete, lead or water is our protection from them.

Alpha particles> In the form of atomic nuclei,they consist of 2 protons and 2 neutrons. They also have large large size, thats the reason why they easily lose their energy quickly. Therefore they have little penetrating power but and can just only be stop by the first layer of our skin.

Cosmic Radiation> This ionizing radiation consists of energetic particles. At higher sea levels it is more intense. This is where our earth's atmosphere is most dense that gives much protection.

Neutrons> These are particles that come from fissioning or splitting of an atom. They are very penetrating. We use water and concrete also for protection against this type of radiation.

Radiation in our life

As we know radiation is an energy that travels through space, and its most familiar form is the sunshine.Living things really need sunlight because it gives us the heat and light needed for surviving but we also have to consider its bad effect in our body when too much exposure to it. The reason that creates the hazard is for the sunshine consists of radiation in a range of wavelengths from long to short-wavelength ultraviolet.By the way,ultraviolet are higher energy kinds of radiation which we are using now in our medicines.I the help of radiation we also now have medical and dental X-ray to detect hidden problems in the body. We can refer to this kind of radiation that can cause damage to matter particular in the living tissue is the ionizing radiation. So at high levels it is dangerous, that's why in controlling from too much exposure we have now the sunglasses,shade,clothes etc.for our protection.

2nd Quarter.....here I come!!!

Well,seems like the adjustment moment is over..2nd quarter is now entering..Gosh!!In this quarter I really promise that I'm going to study hard and will listen to every lesson that we are going to tackle with Mr.Mendoza. Speaking of Mr. Mendoza, well,hope to be more considerable..hehe joke..,I also wish that our lesson for this quarter is not that hard to understand. I really love the concept of Physics...its fun,full of SURPRISES and THRILL......=)
